GENUINE FARM FRESHNESS FOR PERTH SHOPPERS

Greengrocers stocked up with Genuinely Southern Forests goodness:

A record 26 greengrocers across the Perth region are getting behind the Genuinely Southern Forests 2018 retail marketing campaign. Now in its third year, the campaign is continuing to bring the flavours of the Southern Forests into stores to inspire consumers with a schedule of delicious food demonstrations and marketing activations.

The campaign runs across the peak season for the Southern Forests region, from October 2018 to July 2019. Store customers will be able to sample and purchase a wide range of fresh and value-added produce, including potatoes, beetroot, stonefruit, avocados, broccoli and much more.

The Southern Forests Food Council coordinates the activity on behalf of its 400 members, 275 of which are producers. Council Chairman Bevan Eatts says that the ongoing campaign demonstrates tangible results from the farm to the shop floor which is a win for everyone.

“One of the key goals of the Food Council is to actively look for market opportunities that support our members under a collective approach. The retail marketing campaign brings together all of the elements of the supply chain to drive sales and increase the exposure of our regional brand to Perth consumers,” said Bevan.

Peaches Fresh Food Market in South Fremantle are passionate about fresh local produce and have been a founding partner since the campaign's inception in 2016. Peaches Fresh Food Market Owner Rob Di Tullio says “It’s the genuine connection to the local producers that we love. Their stories, the imagery, and of course the beautiful fresh quality produce that we can offer to our customers, all under the Genuinely Southern Forests brand.”

The campaign links with Genuinely Southern Forests market floor partners at Market City, Canning Vale who enable Southern Forests producers to supply Genuinely Southern Forests produce and for the 26 greengrocer partners to access Genuinely Southern Forests produce.

The SFFC is supported by a $1.5 million investment over three years through the State Government’s Royalties for Regions program to support the Council’s on-going activities in developing economic opportunities for the region. The Southern Forests region includes the towns of Manjimup, Pemberton, Northcliffe and Walpole.
